That's not so sad!

Ever since my girls found out Little Lambs and Ivy was closing, they wanted to share their stories for Mrs. Arden. With four little girls, we've bought plenty of dresses, hairbows, tights and shoes from Little Lambs and Ivy. I will always treasure the beautiful heirloom flower girl dresses Mrs. Arden helped me get for my sister's wedding. She even helped me get a matching "baby" dress for Sarah Grace so I could get a portrait made of all four girls. I'll also forever be thankful for Mr. Jim's fitting of so many shoes. What a patient man! My fondest shoe memory was when I was pregnant with my fourth little girl. With my due date rapidly approaching, I knew the girls all needed new fall shoes. We all went to see Mr. Jim one October Saturday afternoon and left with three pair of PINK shoes! Within a few hours of purchasing our shoes, I went into labor and Sarah Grace was born that night! While my memories are sweet, I think the memories of my daughters are far more precious than any story I could tell. In their words, these are their memories-

Lindley (Age 6)- My best memory started when I was three years old. One day we went in to Little Lambs and Ivy and I went back to the play area. All the toys were out and I picked them up. When one of the workers saw the clean play area, she told me that made her day easier. She said - "Now I can go home faster." After that I picked up the play area every time. Then we came in to Little Lambs and Ivy when they were about to close. I picked up the play area and my mom told Mrs. Arden that I had always picked up the play area and Mrs. Arden let me have a free necklace and bracelet. I'm going to be sad when they close because I am going to miss picking up the play area.

Mary Nielson (Age 8)- "A Pretty Princess"- One day Little Lambs and Ivy put out a schedule for the month. It said there would be a princess day one day. My family went there and we had a great time. When I left the store I looked very, very pretty. They fixed my hair beautiful and gave me a tiara. When I was leaving the store, my shoe broke. I sat down in front of your store and my mom took a picture of me, my pretty princess dress, my pretty hair and my broken shoe. The picture is my room and it is my memory of your store. Another day I went to your store and there were these shoes I really, really wanted. They were pink, sparkly shoes with pink sequins all over them. I wanted them so badly. I begged the whole summer for those shoes. One day we were back in the store and I got the shoes. "Mr. Arden" helped me try on those shoes and they fit. I love them so much the sequins are coming off and dirt is getting on them. They still fit, except I don't wear them anymore because it is summer. I really love your store. I hope you come back. Your store is very good.

Cecelia (Age 3) - My favorite thing was your sand. I like the sand and the buildings and trucks and the rock. I want to come to your new store because it is close to the beach! That's not so sad!

Our family will miss you! Enjoy that sweet new grandbaby! - Shannon C. and girls (Mary Nielson, Lindley, Cecelia and Sarah Grace)
